From her childhood dinner table to her days in school leadership, Alana has always pushed beyond the status quo, dreaming up new ways for kids to become the best versions of themselves and turning grand visions into realities.
Before founding Dreamearly, Alana served as the Associate Principal of the Early Learning Center (ELC) at SAR Academy in Riverdale, NY, from 2015 to 2024. With a strong commitment to innovation and inclusion, she oversaw the construction of a 36,000 square foot ELC that fostered collaborative learning among students, teachers, and parents. Additionally, she launched a Hebrew Immersion program for preschool classrooms and initiated the first kindergarten inclusion class to support students with learning differences.
Alana sees it as her mission to empower others to help kids and is a regular speaker and writer on the subject. She has presented to hundreds of educators and leaders, most recently at the JUF Leadership Conference and the Paradigm Project Retreat. In 2021, she was awarded the Pomegranate Prize from the Covenant Foundation, recognizing emerging leaders in Jewish education, and the Jewish Education Project’s Robert M. Sherman Young Pioneers Award in 2024.
